Job Description

 

The safety coordinator works to ensure that other employees at their company can complete their work safely. Sets safety standards for their workplace based on legal requirements and trains employees to help them understand these rules. The safety coordinator also monitors working conditions and resolves any safety issues that may arise.

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities

 

Plan and implement HSE plans, policies, and procedures.
Own the equipment and lifting accessories tracker, update it on regular basis, and be accountable for any missing or expired items
Perform daily operator inspection to ensure full PPE are implemented
Perform random equipment safety audits on and off field
Hold operators accountable to the daily inspection checklist
Work closely with AWI and client HSE representatives to have all equipment are inspected by client at the required time.
Be responsible for the safe work inside the equipment yard in accordance with AWI HSE system
Review existing policies and procedures.
Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics.
Inspect all equipment are acting in adherence to HSE rules and regulations.
Check if all the employees are acting in adherence to HSE rules and regulations.
Attend safety walks and inspections before or during each project to check if all the 3rdparty individuals & equipment are acting in adherence to HSE rules and regulations.
Prepare educational seminars on a regular basis for equipment operators & other employees.
Enforce preventative measures and report any violation.
Prepare and present reports on accidents and violations and determine root causes.
Conduct risk assessment
Oversee workplace repair, installations, and any other work that could harm employees' safety.
Conduct safety observation reports on a regular basis.
Provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

3+ Years of related work experience
Bachelor’s Degree
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills
